Weather Report

Chico is a wonderful place to live, and why do I brag about it? because Chico has so many things to brag about. Lets take the weather for instants, the weather here in Chico we have Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. In the winter it rains, storms, and its windy but on an average its not to cold. The lowest it may get is maybe 27 degrees, and its even snowed here but it hasnt snowed for serval yrs. Springtime is actually my favorite time because everything blooms and even all the animals are having their babies, like the cows having calfs and the sheep having lambs. Its a fun time of the year to plant and just enjoy other peoples plants. Watching the tulips bloom, the daisies bloom and the trees grow all the leaves back. I love Chico in the parks here the ivy that grows everywhere, up and down the trees even. Below are some pictures I have posted...;)

With the cold weather only getting colder in Manhattan, this is as close as you’ll get to riding your bike through a field of wildflowers. Just remember to slow down before you hit the strip of ice at the bottom of the bridge.


Blue to purple perennials aren't just for summer. There are flowers that can be arranged to bloom throughout the seasons, and with only some basic care and maintenance from you.


This picture probably does poison ivy flowers too much justice, since it is a close-up shot. Walking quickly past a patch of poison ivy plants in bloom, you would hardly notice the individual flowers.


Eastern Red Bud...Thirty-year-old specimens are rare but they can reach 35 feet in height forming a rounded vase. Trees of this size are often found on moist sites. The splendid purple-pink flowers appear all over the tree in spring, just before the leaves emerge.


Edible flowers were especially popular, many restaurant chefs and innovative home cooks garnish their entries with flower blossoms for a touch of elegance. The secret to success when using edible flowers is to keep the dish simple, do not add to many other flavors that will over power the delicate taste of the flower. Today this nearly lost art is enjoying a revival.
